What you'll do:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Advisor is responsible for:
- Demonstrating day to day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-op's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety;
- Talent acquisition functions including attracting, selecting, and developing qualified candidates to meet the organization's staffing needs and enhance overall employee performance;
- Leading acquisition initiatives including job analysis, posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing and completion of the selection and onboarding process;
- Developing training program content to fill skill gaps and align with organizational goals;
- Assisting with development of training plans, and assist with the evaluation of development programs;
- Supporting all other responsibilities of the HR Department including health & safety, payroll and benefits administration.
Who you are:
You are looking for an opportunity to work in retail and:
- Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent level of post-secondary education, preference will be given to candidates who have or are working toward the CHRP accreditation;
- 3-4 years of office experience; preference will be given to experience in a Human Resources function;
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written), listening and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows;
- Exceptional organizational skills including managing time, multiple tasks, and accurate documentation;
- You're action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members;
- You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do;
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
