Full-time Permanent Position
The Victoria Day Care Centre, a program of Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba, is seeking an energetic Early Childhood Educator (ECE II or III) to fill a full-time permanent position as of February 17, 2025.
Applicants must have a completed two-year ECE II diploma from a Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care accredited post-secondary institution, such as Assiniboine Community College or Red River College. The Victoria Day Care Centre is a licensed facility through Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care. As a result, the Centre and all employees follow provincial guidelines and legislation. The successful applicant will demonstrate good communication skills, patience, passion and have knowledge of child development, and must be willing to obtain a Manitoba Class 4 Driver's License within a timely manner. The Victoria Day Care Centre is a dynamic work environment which offers competitive salaries. Wages will be determined as per education and related experience. The ECE II wage scale starts at $21.45 per hour for new grads. The Victoria Day Care Centre operating hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday; full-time team members work 35-hours per week. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the successful candidate will be eligible to join the Agency's comprehensive benefits and pension plans; this includes a defined contribution pension plan, where the employer and the employee contribute 7% each to the employee's future.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Educator II two-year diploma - ECE III completion is considered an asset but not required;
- Must be willing and able to obtain a Manitoba class 4 driver's license;
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification from a Canadian training institute;
- Ability to work as a team member and possess effective communication skills;

Additional Information:
- Successful completion of a Child Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Records Check (including vulnerable sector), Prior Contact Check, and a Driver's Abstract Check is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for any services charges incurred for the Criminal Record Check; the Agency will pay for the other three security checks.
