Jeepers Creepers charity auto show 2010 (Alexander Brown)
10/2/2010 at 2:18 AM
I am putting together a charity auto show for a family member. His name is Alexander Brown, born November 13, 2007.
He started having issues on his birthday in 2009. Was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor less than a month later. Making a long painful story as short as i can, he has undergone a couple brain surgury's, chemotherapy, and thought they had it beaten a couple times. Unfortunatley just recently his condition has been changed to terminal with no known procedures to help cure his illness. His parents stay by his side throughout the ordeal, now only having the choice but to do what they can to make him comfortable and happy.
So, this is why I am putting on this show to raise money and all the profits are going to the family directly. They shouldn't have to burnden themselves at a time like this with monetary issues or stressers.
Make a wish foundation was contacted by another family member of mine, to which they sent Alexander to Hawaii and he swam with the dolphins, released butterflies, and played in the tropical sands. Alex says that these will be the best 2 months ever. This boy is a real trooper (like most kids are), but he has fought like a lion, and really doesn't realize how sick he is sometimes.
Show details:
Jeepers Creepers
charity auto show
October 9th, 2010
11:00am to 4:00pm
Riverbend park
(1 mile East of 1st street on Vetrans Way, aka:low road to Shilo)
$10.00 for any custom bike, truck, car, vintage ski doos, or what have you to enter the show. If it is a custom or vintage vehicle of nearly any sort, please feel free to bring it on by and enter the show for a good cause.
Spectators are free of charge, but donations are welcome.
Will have a silent auction with items from over 15 local buisnesses, among tons of other cool items donated from people like yourselves.
Seems to be turning out to possibly being one of the better/bigger shows of the year. I have confimations of people coming from all over the province, and some that cannot make it have made alot of cash donations already via Paypal and Postal service.
This has really given me a new outlook on the human race again.
Thanks for your time.
