Well it looks like ROTR is playing Aug. 7th in Winnipeg. That is normally the weekend of Xfest. It is moments like this where I wish Brandon had a larger venue area to have more seating. If we had something like the stadium to hold events I wonder how much talent we could get in Brandon? I am wondering what is going on for Xfest this year as nothing that I know of is mentioned. It cost us less than 400 bucks for 2 of us to go to xfest (booze included) and we got up close and personal with the bands that mingled. Last year people were boasting of 30 dollar ticket pricing (which in a larger venue you can charge that) but I am tossing the buget around in terms of overall costs. With factoring wear and tear, gas, hotels, meals, tickets, booze, cabs, etc. what did it cost people to go to ROTR for a couple? I like to support local events but it sucks to have two events on one weekend.
