Women ... Recurring BV!

I have reached my breaking point and need some help. I have been suffering from recurring Bacterial Vaginosis for a year now. Doctors have put me on numerous meds many many many times and nothing has worked. The problem will be fixed for a few days and then the BV will return. Has any other women had the same problem and if so how have you cured it? (I hear it's more common than we think) What doctor have you seen that has helped? Meds that have worked? I am willing to try anything!
*Please note BV is not found to be sexually transmitted
