Tvs sold out of back of van

Anyone see the guy selling TVs out of the back of his van at Princess Auto today. Friend was telling me about it. Wondered if the TVs were stolen.

...

They will likely be a weird brand name with a huge price on the box and he will be selling them cheap. Giving some story how he got them. They will be some really cheap t.vs.

Yes

He tried selling me one... said that some TV retail outlet had been shipped a double order by mistake so he had gotten a good deal and now was passing that good deal on to??? Seems to like Princess Auto, I’m guessing because he knows the type of people that go there are generally ones that are looking for low prices on items (vs top quality) and it is also set back from the street with no other business/people that might notice. I declined and left but stopped at the street to watch for a bit and he just kept circling the parking lot and stopping to talk to people coming out of the store.

Beware!

This is classic "white van scam". Google it, and you'll likely see all the hallmarks of it being a scam.

Notify PA staff of the activity, and any other business owner whose patrons are being targeted.

The TV's might work, but will be of the lowest possible quality. Or they might not work at all...

You wanna make them nervous? Offer to take a selfie with them, or attempt to take a picture of their vehicle and license plate. a scammer will definitely lot allow any of that!
