There is so much to talk about reducing carbon omissions..... WHY is there’s no mention of the methane that is being belched by 1.5 billion dairy and cattle cows and the fact that 75 to 80% of farmed land in the world is to feed all of the animals that the humans are consuming their meat and dairy. My belief is if people reduced their meat and dairy consumption or eliminated it all together this in effect would dramatically reduce the methane being released into the environment, which I believe to be the cause of the greater percentage global warming...... yes the carbon omissions from other gases have a play as well. But changing a few lightbulbs and driving a few electric cars does not complete the equation!! I’d like to know which political party has ever addressed the methane that is being released into the environment from these pitiful industrial farming practises that are continuing? Not to mention also that the majority of all of the health issues that people are suffering today: diabetes, heart disease and possibly cancer are attributable to poor eating practises which i:nclude vast amounts of dairy and meat products . The mass industrial farming has gotten out of control: I’m not even sure people are aware they are eating these products at the quantity that they are and that they are attributing to poor health status and also attributing to poor environmental status. Awakening and understanding of these problems only comes to the forefront when people talk about it and become educated and fully aware of the negative impacts If People were aware of the truths behind the scenes, I don’t think that they would be participating in and supportive of their practices. Plus, there is enough plant food and available farmland (if the feed could be diverted to human consumption) to feed the world.. thankfully vegetables grains legumes beans etc. are all designed with seeds to continue producing indefinitely. Does anyone know which political party is addressing this? And why there’s no mention of it when we are talking about the environmental crisis? The only ridiculous article I saw relating to this recently was scientists are trying to breed cows that burp less how ...ridiculous is that? Also, I’d like to know if anyone feels the same way as I do? Or if this is something that you would never thought about before? I’d love to hear feedback Edited by BROCLAEVE, 2019-09-24 09:23:46
