This years bobblehead night, they didn’t even hand out bobbleheads at the game. If you had a winning card they were to be picked up at a store in the mall the next day. What about out of town fans? I know people that drive 3 hours round trip to watch games. Some of these people have had season tickets for 15+ years. You advertise a bobblehead night and they may or may not actually get one before they sold out. (They advertise 3000 fans have a chance to win the bobblehead but actually only have 1400 available..)
I like what other teams in the league do. Season ticket holders get first dibs with the promotions at games and then the remaining goes to the rest of the fans. It would be an incentive to buy season tickets increasing attendance and make the season ticket fans feel appreciated.
Regardless if you are a season ticket holder: any promotions done should be available to pick up at the same game. "
Was at that game and lucky enough to get a purple card. The redemption wasn’t just the next day, it just started the next day at TELUS In the mall. I believe it was also their promotion as their logo is on my bobblehead I got. I picked mine up 4 days later.
My father in law is a season ticket holder and they have done a bobblehead for ticket holders.
They’ve also done it a few different ways. Personally, I don’t need or care about a bobblehead so if people want to stand in line for 2 hours, let them. There’s lots of people that care and lots that don’t.
It’s not about a $5 bobblehead. It’s about the fact these kids are playing great hockey and to come out to 3000 fans (or less) has to be a downer or perhaps they’re just getting used to it by now which is too bad.
