Unknown3710 said "To those who are not familiar with the new gun ban there is a E-Petition 2574 that you can click on to register and sign in. Once you receive a confirmation email you have to click agree I order for it to count. This law not only effects gun owners but communities where sporting events are held, businesses and much more. It’s one of the first steps to losing our freedom. It may not affect you but when the government abuses it’s power to pass a law through OIC without having it go through legislation or have it be debated, without hearing the facts and statistics that’s DICTATORSHIP. To pass a law during a pandemic as the liberals have is abusing their power, as it bypasses legislation during the emergency act when this law was not an emergency and they are using the tragedy in Nova Scotia to push it through when this new law could have not prevented that tragedy. I know that all the law abiding gun owners and tax paying citizens are informed and aware but I think we need to reach out to those who were not informed/affected and educate them that the liberals are abusing their power. They have lied. Most of the people who have their PAL especially RPAL are some of the best people out there and confiscating their property to make a safer community is a lie. Instead of spending billions of tax payers money to solve some of the problems we have with guns being illegally obtained and smuggled across the border. As well as increasing border security and going after gangs, drugs and solving the poverty and mental illness they rather attack some of the best citizens out there to make it look like they did something. I would ask everyone who owns guns or had never had anything to do with guns to stand up with us as one against the government to preserver our fundamental God given rights. If we don’t speak up now in time we will lose our charter of rights and our freedoms. This petition is not just for gun owners it’s for our society and our community. Those billions could be used to get to the root of the problem which is not the guns it’s the people. If it’s not a gun the person will find another way to do harm to the people. Please take a minute out of your day as it does not cost a dollar just a minute and sign this E-Petition to help us keep Canada the amazing country it is before it falls to a regime/dictator. Thank you to all the men and women who are willing to fight for this country as the ones before us did. God Bless You All In This Time Of Uncertainty.

God given rights? Are you following U.S. politics and mistaking their 2nd Amendment with the Canadian Charter of Rights? How can you claim that gun ownership is a 'God Given Right'?

"Canadians, unlike Americans, do not have a constitutional right to bear arms," the high court (Supreme Court) stated in 1993, in a decision over the possession of convertible semi-automatic weapons.
"Most Canadians prefer the peace of mind and sense of security derived from the knowledge that the possession of automatic weapons is prohibited," said the court.

Have you ever had or known a family who has lost a family member due to gun violence? Ask those families about their stance on it. A local family just wrote a heartwrenching and touching letter to the editor posted in the local newspaper about guns regarding their beloved daughter (Mom of small children) who was an unfortunate victim at a Vegas concert due to rapid fire gun violence. Everyone should read that and put themselves in those shoes.
I support the Canadian Government in their proactive stance that differentiates us from the massive, daily gun violence in the States.
