I've been curious about how many people caught the coronavirus from the ceremony in the Rose Garden that Trump hosted. Although we know about the president and his hospitalization and subsequent treatment does anyone know if any of the people who tested positive for covid have been in hospital or deathly ill from the virus? I know some of you follow the news from the US more carefully than i do, that's why I pose this question I have looked at a bit of info but have found nothing to do with the health status of these other people who caught the virus. Thanks if you can provide info!!
Have tried my best to not follow another country's politics too closely, but what happens over these next few weeks is potentially quite consequential for the world itself and so have been keeping a closer eye.
Because of all of the lying, misdirection, "message managing" et all that takes place in and around that particular circle you probably will never get a straight factual itemized answer but there have been quite a few that have said they tested positive (keeping in mind that there’s been some odd, seemingly politically motivated refusal to be tested). Here’s one best crack at examining the “super spreader” event that took place... scroll to "confirmed cases" at the bottom if you're trying to stay a safe distance from the rest of the drama: https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/election-us-2020-54487154
If you're looking for information on death rate, Covid has been around long enough that there's a lot of data on what the virus is capable of much broader than one recent irresponsible spreader event. Do have to keep in mind that death numbers trail confirmed case numbers by as much as weeks and that there will be correlation percentage-wise between recovery and age. "There was this time where X happened, therefore X happens commonly" is actually a pretty frequent falacy that the guy to the South uses to try to pass uncommon stuff off as being common. Again to address original post, best available info I've seen on who caught virus in that particular event is at: https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/election-us-2020-54487154 If you're interested in knowing data on percentage of serious outcomes from COVID-19, broad worldwide data that speaks to mortality rate of the virus is at: https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality
