Abbysmum said "I've used Canadian Tire in the past too - it was pretty good!
So far this week, I've picked up at Michael's. It was easy!
The guy at Ted Good helped me pick what I wanted over the phone, and I'll go pick it up today when I'm out and about doing other pickups.
The great lady at Momma Bear is putting together a package for me to make a lap quilt when I explained I wanted to make one but I'm still a beginner and terrible at cutting fabric. It should be ready today.
I will probably do Fabricland this weekend, and Toymasters next week.
I have major social anxiety and I find in-person shopping difficult the best of times. I get easily overwhelmed by choice and find it hard to function at times. I've been really happy with the level of service I get from local businesses and it helps me make a selection as I'm not overwhelmed because they can narrow it down for me. "
I can relate to you and think all these new curb side options will continue and be good for a lot of people - those with anxiety or not!
Ted Good's deserves another shout out... they've always been awesome that way, every time I've been in over the last 30 odd years. I'm from out of town, and when I phoned one time to see if they had a certain piece in stock, not only did they have it, they even offered to transpose it!
Way to go locals!
