I realize we can’t have anyone in our home that doesn’t live there, can a person have a relative sit in their vehicle in the driveway persay?
Do you mean they're in their car and you're outside a distance away and talking to them through a rolled down window... or are you suggesting both people actually get in the vehicle?? I haven’t seen specific guidance on either but we are being asked to stay home as much as possible except for essential reasons. Common sense would especially suggest that two people not from same household who aren’t supposed to be sharing a larger space (a home) shouldn’t be going out of their way to share a much smaller space (a vehicle). Please stay home as much as possible and limit your contacts to an absolute minimum in the spirit of the order and together we’ll make the community as inhospitable of an environment as possible for this virus. If we don't, our single day new case count in Brandon of 19 (highest in almost three months, since August 29) will continue growing to levels that have increasingly serious consequences. We’re social creatures and so it’s natural to want to find ways to be together... as the mayor recommended, do go out of your way to make use of digital ways to connect (video chat, email, social websites) or good old fashioned phone to make sure that you’re still in touch with folks in your circle!
