How can the government officials keep saying going to strict covid restrictions when some of them are still traveling and leaving the country. Hopefully not on tax payers money as most sounded like holidays. Hopefully people remember that they told us to stay at home but they travelled when it comes time to vote again. The ones that took pictures to post that they were still at home when they were else in my opinion should not have their jobs as they lied. And they knew what they were doing. Lead by example. We the people get fined from the government and told not to do things but they don’t seem to care. For over 50 years our family used to get together for Christmas but this year we didn’t as we listened to the officials. If the governments are not going to listen how can they keep the rest of us in code red

in our Premier and what he said about Teitsma and his excuse for the guy to travel because "he probably has more kids than weeks of the year" Seriously Premier Pallister? Especially after Pallister said he didn't mind being the grinch who stole Christmas but he's okay with Teitsma travelling to enjoy his holiday season?  
 
Although the covid restrictions haven't affected me personally i can relate to others. For people who cannot see their parent/s in PCH, (my cousins for one), for people who cannot go and support a family member while they are hospitalized, and for the people who have lost loved ones and cannot gather for a proper funeral. For the ones who stayed apart for Christmas and NY. And just to realize for some people this holiday season could possibly be their last on Earth.  
 
This is what makes me angry, politicians are entitled.

If you would like change, you're going to need to vote for it. It can become pretty tiresome to hear Brandonites, and people from other Westman communities complain endlessly about how they aren't seeing the improvements they want, and then continue to elect the exact same people to office.  
 
You can't vote for the same people over and over again and expect something different.

No matter who gets voted in, they'll all do something not right for somebody complain about

I personally can't wait to breathe the air outside when Brian Pallister is no longer premier.  
 
Unfortunately for me there seems to be a misguided majority who think that the Conservatives care about them.

Private citizens think they are above the law. The privileged.

While I share your frustration, it isn't just the privileged flouting restrictions. Unfortunately, and understandably, a lot of people are pretty tired of lockdown and restrictions. It's difficult for a lot of people, and even though they are necessary, the restrictions are challenging.  
 
I can't tell you how much I've had to temper my frustration when I see swaths of people gathered without masks. But, I do understand it.  
 
Hopefully with the arrival of the immunization clinics, we start to see improvements, and can all get a little bit of our lives back.  
 
Until that time though, we've all got to play by the rules. And hopefully, that's enough without enforcement.....because there hasn't seemed to be any in the City.

There is a very big difference between what is against the law and someone's recommendations.  
It is Not against the law or any restrictions to travel outside the province/country by anyone.  
The optics of it being done by the member of government saying such recommendations is another matter.

Fine them for what??? Unfortunately travelling , either domestic of international, is not against any health orders or laws. There are still plenty of snowbirds that flew to the US for the winter... just wait until they all come back. I know they must self isolate for 14 days but it still won’t help our covid numbers or the strain on our hospitals should they return with Covid. I don’t understand why travel isn’t restricted more ... even a travel ban within provinces would help (we had that in the spring)... it’s ridiculous that I can fly to Mexico but can’t get a hair cut or buy a greeting card.

Well on a positive note all those Florida snowbirds will be vaccinated before they return and not have to wait until 2023 to get their shot in Canada....
