    Getting rid of an old car

    Where, in or around Brandon, can I take an older car? We are getting a new vehicle and we have a 2005 Buick LeSabre that needs a resting place. Where does one take old cars? It still runs but transmission is causing problems.

    You could donate it to a charity, like diabetes. They have a web site at donatecar.ca. You get a tax receipt for it.  
    There is also an auto wrecker located on 49th street east, East End Auto Wreckers , I believe is the name. Hope this helps.

    I don’t have the number but I know Teen Challenge will haul your old vehicle away and give you a tax donation receipt.  
     
    Westman Salvage with buy old car. Amount varies depending on condition. I believe starting at $250.  
     
    As previously posted there are other charities who also accept old vehicles
