Ok covid for the past year has been a roller coaster ride and saidly a painful year for so many people.  
So to make a happier post, what positive things have you done or learned since all this covid started? This isn't to minimize any suffering that has happend to people or covid in general. It's just a post to talk about positive things that you have done/learned during covid. Please don't be scared to post as I hope the comments will some how give others hope. Be respectful and kind please, life's hard enough!

This has been a great year for me personally. This last year has been a gift of time to do some things that I wouldn’t normally have the time to do. It’s been a year of growth and healthier choices which have resulted in so many positive changes...from relationships, food, exercise...everything. I feel like I’ve gained a year and am so thankful for it.

I took up art (drawing/colouring, but primarily painting). My main focus is still on writing, but painting has made for another interesting way to play with ideas. I'll never be Picasso, but I enjoy playing with various shapes and complimentary/contrasting colours.  
 
My most recent was what I call a negative painting. I took a simple lighthouse shoreline scene and painted it based on what was opposite to what it should have been on the colour wheel. Well, as close as I could get using the paint I had.

kinda a neat idea to paint it opposite ....how did it turn out? Did you use acrylics or watercolor?
