Hi what are some Brandon / Westman opportunities for 14-year-old to play volleyball this coming year? …did not make the school cut at recent tryouts, but still wants to play and improve skillset to try out next year, thank you.

HLC @ BU has Morning Volleyball Academy for grade 7-12. They also have basketball and badminton. The number is 727-9756 if you want further information

Any more volleyball opportunities out there?

Usually the website updates by December for the boys 13-18 Brandon Volleyball Club (BVC). Have my boys involved with them for years. If the turnout is good, usually two or three teams are created in each age category based on their assessed skill levels. However, with COVID, schedules for practices, meets and tournaments for the past two seasons were buggered up pretty badly (No games/meets, no full practices, no entry for non players into the facility, Brandon School Division denied gym spaces for usage). I fear protocols will again limit the upcoming season once more. However, proof of vaccinations should allow larger groups to practice and perhaps matches against teams from outside of the club (but probably no large tournaments or spectators to watch). I hope that helps. As for the girls, I don't have anything to add as my daughter didn't pursuit volleyball outside of school. But I would assume it will be the same for 12-18 girls club volleyball to start up in the winter.  
 
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Just to put this out that the website has now been updated for a little while for the boys 2021-22 season. Tryouts are set for December 11 - 19 at the Brandon University Healthy Living Center. Double vaccination is required and proof of vaccination along with personal identification must be presented to enter the HLC building. The website is brandonvolleyballclub.ca and follow the tabs to register. Practices (if accepted from tryouts) are to start in "early January".
