Can anyone describe what the new Petting Zoo rules are at the Winter Fair this year? The newspaper says things are a bit different but doesn't elaborate.

You stand outside of the area at the fence and the workers bring an animal to you to hold or pet.

Is the wait time/line up similar to previous years? Is it crammed packed or is there a semblance of social distancing?

To busy yesterday so not so crammed in most areas they have lots of hand sanitizer stations out. The petting zoo definitely was a bit busier and people were pretty close to you. But all in all not bad.

That sounds much nicer for the animals!! I admit, I am not really an animal person but seeing young kids chase the animals and picking them up roughly was always a concern of mine.

I am so happy to see that the Royal winter fair is back. My daughter works there and she is loving it. The only thing she mentioned is that the goats in the petting zoo are head butting the other animals and some of the rabbits have sores on their heads from them. She did say something and hopefully something will be done. I hope everyone is having a great time and it is great to see people having a great time again.
