Not a pure stat on number sold, but a starting point...
Out of 165 home for sale ads posted in the last 12 months, 41 went as far as marking the ad as sold. 42 more in addition to (and separate from) those 41 went as far as deleting the ad.
Deletes are open to interpretation... could mean it was sold and they wanted to remove the ad, could mean they listed and chose to not have it also showing in the classifieds or could even mean they chose not to sell after all. Ads that are left online and not deleted or marked as sold are also open to interpretation. First assumption might be that they're still for sale, but have come across some that are sold and others that meet any of the other above scenarios.
Also when making assumptions, need to keep in mind that homes sell through a variety of sources. Could be to someone that saw the ad, could be someone that saw a sign and knocked on the door, could be word of mouth or it could be an ad that was posted by an agent who made use of the classifieds for one more avenue for exposure and may or may not have sold to a contact that came through the ad.
The ratios are a little different for Home for Sale category postings that indicated Brandon as their city. For those 99 Brandon ads in Homes for Sale, 31 out of 99 marked their ad as sold. 29 more in addition to those 31 went as far as deleting their ad.
The average number of views on each of those 165 ads in the home for sale category over the past 12 months was 3975. That compares to the average over 317 views on all ads across all categories. Generally home ads get a lot of views, but because the ad is active for as much as 12 months that view count does also have some advantage versus regular ads that are only active for a month. Interestingly the average view count for Brandon ads at 3854 on average per ad is similar to the overall average.
