Is there a time/date planned for when the second Covid booster will become available in Manitoba for those age 60 and over? This would be for people that have had their 2nd booster 6 months prior. I know it is available now to some sectors of our society. I couldn't find any information anywhere. Thanks

Second booster recommendations  
 
Based on recommendations from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization, the following individuals are eligible to receive a second booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine:  
 
residents of personal care homes and elderly persons housing congregate living sites (such as supportive housing and assisted living) with no age limit;  
individuals aged 70 or older who live in the community; and  
First Nations, Inuit and Metis people aged 50 or older, regardless of where they live.  
 
The second booster should be Pfizer or Moderna and given at least six months after the last booster dose.

All Manitobans 50 and older are now eligible for a second COVID-19 booster shot, as well as anyone who is First Nations, Inuit and Métis and at least 30.  
 
Dr. Brent Roussin, the province's chief provincial public health officer, announced the new eligibility on Friday.  
 
He also lowered the interval between booster doses to four months. Previously the wait was six months.

I was on hold for a hour but just got our 4th shots booked. The location they gave was the Shoppers Mall. Any idea where in the mall they will be set up?

Has been across from FYI optometrist and eyeglasses.

I just phoned them and I have booked two slots for tomorrow for 4th shot.
