I see the maps for city wide yard sales...on the website it says fri 5-8 sat 9-3  
It doesn't say which addresses have the yard sales on friday or which ones are on saturday..  
is there a way to see which sales are fri or sat...thanks

As far as I know, they should all be in it both days. I'm in it and that's what I'm prepping for.

When I was thinking of registering I knew I could not do Fri. I emailed the organizers and said I could only do Saturday. They told me that it is ok and to make sure the sign they give me is only up on Saturday when I could be open.  
 
Long story short: You have to drive by and look for the yard sign.

Same as the person above. I registered for the sale, but will only be participating on Saturday.

Even if I was free Fri I would not want to set up Fri, haul everything in for the night, then set up again Saturday morning. It's too much work.  
And that is Dealing with early birds 2 times!  
 
I am looking for a kid to come and stand at the edge of my lot with a garden hose and blast all the early birds! (Just kidding ... kind of)  
 
Anyway perhaps next year the city can split the two days as separate yard sales or something. This is the first annual so there will likely be lots of tweaking and changes.

What did you guys think of the city wide yard sale? How did you deal with the Friday night rain?  
 
My thoughts:  
My sale on Saturday went very well. I got rid of 2/3 of my items. I was really scared I would get hit with rain but the weather was great. No wind either. I've had a yard sale on a windy day once and it was very hard to keep stuff on the tables.  
I chased away about 5 early birds but they were very respectful when I said that I was not yet ready and had lots more to put out.  
It was a really fun day for me as a host!
