We seem to have quite a few chicken places in the city. What’s your favourite? I do like Popeyes but haven’t tried Mary Browns. KFC used to be the standard but lots of options now.

Mary Brown's is a go-to now. Appreciate the extreme cleanliness of the restaurant, quick & friendly service, good quality tasty chicken, crisp but juicy (never greasy or dry) and all their products from chicken to salads, potatoes, gravy, etc. taste very fresh. Canadian too, with local franchisees running a good operation.  
 
Never been disappointed there.

I haven't tried the actual chicken pieces but the big crunch style chicken burgers and chicken tenders are very good. Just like the above poster said, crispy and juicy but not greasy like other places. Tastes fresh, we've never been disappointed when we've got food from there.

Chicken is awesome and so tasty and never greasy. Done to perfection. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is always very clean inside and well taken care of.

Our go-to is Chicken Delight!  
Never had a bad meal there yet!  
Great deals, different options , plus a menu with other items, like pizza, burgers, fish, etc.  
Delicious! On top of their awesome chicken & other food, they also have AAA-MAZING homemade gravy, & their homemade salads (potatoe, macaroni &coleslaw) are my absolute favs!!!

The restaurant is clean as well. That's always important.  
 
I like the heat that makes their products stand alone. I tend to crave it on occasion and I usually didlike spicy foods. Their coleslaw and other sides are pretty tasty too.  
 
I also appreciate that they have changed all of their ingredients over to natural & not artificial ones. They'd announced that about a year ago and detailed what additives were no longer going to be present, and it looks as though that switch is complete. That's a bonus for our family.  
 
I also appreciate their attention to employees (even though I'm not looking for a job). When I was first looking through their site to learn more about them, I saw how meticulous the company was in assuring that they are a good & respectful employer (it was detailed) and my opinion of them immediately went up.  
 
For a chain, overall, it scores high points with me.

Try it if u haven’t. Been a favourite since they opened up in Wpg a few years ago.

1. Get on a plane and fly to Montego Bay Jamaica.  
2. Get a cab to Negril.  
3. Stop on the way for drum grilled Jamaican Jerk chicken.  
 
Trust me. Once you get the taste you'll never go back to KFC or Popeyes.

If the paper turns clear, it's your window to weight gain!

Never had a bad meal there, never disappointed. Only time tried Popeye's (in Portage) was undercooked, sides un-impressive & fast-food style restaurant so won't waste our $$ there again. Maybe it's an age thing that we prefer CC: in our 70s.

Hmmm……. Popeyes 8 pc chicken only is $20 and Mary Brown’s 9 piece chicken only is $32. That’s quite a difference in price. Is Mary Browns that much better?

I am the owner of Mary Brown’s here in Brandon. When comparing menus I suggest you look closely, a 9pcs chicken from us is $28.99. You receive 4pcs of dark meat (2 thighs, 2 drums/legs) and 5 white pcs( 2 wings/ 2 side breasts/ribs and a center breast/keel) our chicken is hand cut in store every day and then marinated for 12 hours, and our pcs are larger than our competitors  
You have to pay extra at our competition to get white meat and a center breast/keel! I welcome any questions in regards to Mary Brown’s !!! Happy Father’s Day!

Well MBTony when I walked into the store today and asked how much a nine piece chicken was the girl at the front told me $32.99. For 8 pics at Popeyes it’s $20.99 . I don’t care if the chicken has gold and diamonds in it or how it was cut its not worth $12 more. I settled for a four piece box and took it to my dad for Father’s Day he has had Popeyes KFC and now Mary Browns. He prefers Popeyes. Your chicken might be good but they are all good and they are not worth $12 more. Most places charge from $2.50-$2.75 per piece. Mary Browns works out to be $3.50 per piece. Sorry to much for me to pay for chicken.
