So I got an email sent to my business and it said there is a new program that helps with the cost of hiring an apprentice. I, being skeptical, called the number on the form and low and behold, its legit! I'm glad I checked by Junk Mail!! Anyone else received this? Its also by a non-profit organization here in Brandon which was really nice to see!

BNRC is great. I was able to take part in their first time home buyers incentive (which covered the down payment of my house).  
 
I follow them on Facebook and found out about the down payment incebtive and recently saw about the apprentice as well.

I agree BNRC is great, but there are other options for home ownership if you don’t qualify for the BNRC program. This option is rent to own. PM if you want more info on how it works.

Not everyone qualifies for rent to own either. Also you end up paying more for rent to own (as many years ago, when I inquired about it it was my rent PLUS payment towards the place I was looking to buy, which then put things out of budget).  
 
With the home buyers assistance through the program I did, the loan they provided is forgiven after 10 years (meaning if I stayed in my home for 10 years I do not have to pay back the loan).  
 
There are different home ownership options for different people, and this was one that worked for me.
