Indoor kitten will never be outside do you think kitty should still get shots / spay ? thoughts

You'll want to find a vet in case you ever need one. Most vets are currently not taking on new pets.

As a responsible animal owner/caregiver any domesticated Animals or pets should be enrolled in a full vaccination and deworming program including any boosters . Spay or neuter is just good sense to promote good health and temperament unless you intend to breed. Also it is important to build a client/vet relationship in case of any future emergencies or health issues.

Neutering/spaying is known to reduce the risk of health problems such as cancer and other diseases of the uterus, ovaries, and testes. It reduces behavioural issues such as marking/spraying, aggression etc which oftentimes the cause of pets being surrendered to shelters. You may be planning to keep your cat indoors but it doesn’t mean that it would NEVER get the chance to bolt out the door—instances like doors/windows unknowingly left open by a family member or friend. Your cat would roam, contract diseases, and breed. There’s already too many homeless animals out there. In a nutshell, neutering/spaying and getting them their shots are part of responsible pet ownership.

Spay & Neuter Day is Nov 2 this year. Vet clinics across MB participate to offer spay and neuter procedures for cats and dogs at a lower rate.

All the reasons given are excellent! There are really no 'cons', all 'pros'!

SNIPS program through Funds for furry friends which vet do they partner with ?

If you click on the link given, it will show you which vets. You will most likely have to phone around to many of them to see if there are openings as there is quite a shortage of vets.  
 
I phoned yesterday for a semi emergency and can't get into our usual vet for 3 weeks, and that;s with squeezing me in as I am a regular customer.

I’m afraid that as someone who will become responsible for the well being of an animal the onus will be on you to contact vet clinics and find out some of this information for yourself. If a particular vet clinic is not enrolled in such programs I am sure that they would point you in the right direction.
