has there been a sale on blowups? seems a couple of these are not sufficient, no, the vogue is now a yard full of blowups . Happens at Halloween as well … more is not always better in my opinion

Okay….so don’t put multiple blow ups in your yard then?  
 
You’re not trying to shame people for how they decorate are you? For bringing joy and happiness to their life? Cuz that would be silly….

Blowups are tacky. Don't even look good.

from the message and seems lazy and yes tacky and lack of imagination. and yes whatever floats your boat but as people are allowed to decorate as they feel I am entitled to my opinion,

They look good, it's added to the variety of decorations that I see

you gave your opinion, I gave mine....

Personally we have 7 of them for Halloween and 5 for Christmas. We put them up for us, not for anyone else. It’s a bonus if others enjoy them (which we’ve had many compliments on). We love the lights, the characters, etc.  
I don’t tell you how to decorate, maybe your taste doesn’t appeal to others as well.  
Not sure why everyone feels they need to offer their opinion, when it wasn’t asked for.  
We enjoy ours, and it brightens our holiday season, doesn’t matter how anyone else feels about it.

The correct answer is yes there has been sales on blowups recently. Lol  
 
That being said. I like them, and kids like them. The more the better. It isn't hurting anybody. Griswold it up people.

My three year old loves them and gets super excited when she sees a character she knows

I still prefer lights, the beauty, the warmth and the happiness generated by lights!  
The designs, the sentiment, effort and planning that went into it.  
seems so much more than blowups, pull them out of storage plug em in, walk away and there you go boring, and why not leave them "alive" in the daytime hours, they are totally visible....why just at night? ,no they just lay in the yards like refuse, candy wrappers, plastic bags etc

I have left some up during daytime hours, especially during the week of Halloween, week of Christmas, etc. But I’ve also had some of their lights go dim, or burn out and some lights can’t be replaced. Since I enjoy the blow ups with their lights on, I don’t have mine always plugged in during the day. In order to save their lights, and save electricity.  
We also have Christmas lights and other decorations, that are all connected to one controller. So instead of wasting electricity for having lights and everything on all day, and having to keep unplugging things to only run blowups, we just leave them off till 4.

I find that the blowups tend to look cheap and low-effort. I feel the same way about the projector lights. Usually it just looks like someone felt obligated to put something out but doesn't actually care about the result. I would certainly rather see one set of string lights than an ocean of inflatable decorations.  
 
Which is fine, I'm not going to tell people how they should live their lives and decorate their yard. Doesn't mean I think it looks good. And yes you're right, they do usually just look like garbage when they lay flat on the ground. Which is where they go when they inevitably deflate or stop working. Feels wasteful to me.

This is honestly what’s wrong in the world. This seriously shouldn’t even be a discussion. If blows up are lazy or too many are not nice looking or lights are better. Does this really matter. Does this b really change the outlook of your day. Keep your 2 cents to yourself for once. Just let things be. Embarrassing honestly. We teach kindness to our kids in school and that everyone is different and the way people live their lives are different. But yet us as adults can’t seem to understand this and make petty little posts. Let’s just be kind.

We are all special. We all have different life experiences and because of that a different perspective. Plus it is human nature to judge what we don’t understand. Sadly we judge each other all too harshly.  
Personally I have not been decorating outside my house for any holiday. Maybe one day I will. Christmas is my thing and I go all out inside. I do enjoy driving around town and seeing how everyone decorates their house and yard.  
 
Creativity is fun. It is also a personal expression. Whether you like how someone has expressed themselves is your right to do. But not to criticize or judge. Simply drive on by.

If this is what you think is wrong with the world you must be living pretty comfortably. Is this website not about the expression of petty opinions? It feels like you should practice what you preach, "just let things be" and ignore this conversation if you dislike it so much. Nobody is telling you to not use blowups in your yard if you want to, nor is anybody being actively mean to you about it. Some people just find them ugly, there's no need to take it so personally. Just live your life.

I wish we could all collectively as a city focus our energy on something more meaningful! Like finding homes for all the poor stray cats. Lol. Everyone is different I guess. I’m extra different. a
