male cat he gets good food warm place to sleep gets attention outdoor cat when you do spend time with him it:s non stop meowing . crying he crawls all over you non stop will not sit still or lay down on your lap moving all the time , rolling around on the ground , shoveling snow he goes back and forth as long as you shovel .It's cute for while but the constant meowing crying it becomes a bit overwhelming . Anyone have any ideas why he would do this ?  
he is a stray just showed up and stayed he is neutered .yes pics are out in that area .no one says missing cat .he has been someobe's pet .

The poor thing is lonely. And probably cold. And wants to live inside a house like he used to do.

I just took in a stray about a month ago before it got really cold. He behaved very similar to what you describe. Meowing a lot and constantly running after me or climbing on me. He couldn't be left alone. I thought he was stressed and traumatized because he was definitely dumped. He was a house cat because he is so people friendly and different from the wild outside cats. Now he is finally settling down and not nearly as frightened and traumatized as he was when I took him in. I started a routine with him right away and that has helped him feel more secure.

No thanks, I have four indoor cats.  
If he's neutered, does he have a tattoo to help track down his owners?

They helped us find a home for the kitten we found as our jealous cat did not accept her.  
 
Our cat is needy like that as she’s 15 and has health problems, ( she’s on meds), but hates being alone  
Wakes us up, ( once we are up, she’s quiet).  
I nap when she naps now, lol  
 
We have a spray for her as needed, ( smells like the mother cat) and a thunder vest, ( helps to calm them down).
