Seeing the Province says they're not planning to repair 18th Street - should the City start a Go Fund Me page to raise money for the project? 1st Street could be &#105:ncluded as well.

It remains to be seen whether 18th Street will earn a top spot again this year in CAA’s annual Worst Roads campaign, which kicked off in Winnipeg on Tuesday, as the province has no active plans to resurface the rutted thoroughfare.

The automobile organization’s annual campaign encourages Manitobans to vote for their least-favourite road based on anything from potholes to lack of sidewalks and bike paths to congestion and poor traffic signal timing.

I think 13th should also get a nomination, I’ve already popped two tires on it and almost bottomed out a few times. It’s hard to avoid the potholes when there’re no signs.

My thoughts as I drive my vehicle around our terrible provincial & city roads...
* Do the MB highway, Autopac & City employees drive our roads?
* What happens to our fuel taxes... weren't fuel taxes originally implemented to help pay for infrastructure?
* What would happen if I (or someone) painted around the pot holes with spray paint?
* Would the spray paint be considered vandalism or a community service (?) warning drivers to be careful - your vehicle might be damaged here.
* What's the 2023 paint colour we should use to mark the pot holes?

putting a claim toward the city , no signage to warn you and if it's the spot by the keystone pool clearly one of the many city dug sites that were never filled or fixed right

18th st. is the provinces responsibility. So putting a claim to the city won't accomplish anything.

I'm referring to 13th street and the big hole on 18th and park is province but got dug by the city and never filled or repaired properly so I'm not sure if the province will take responsibility for that

Its easy to complain about 18th street and the issues there.
However take a trip off 18th and travel down 13th street and 6th street and check out the craters that exist on those streets. You would think Mr. Putin had been bombing Brandon.
I am offering my services to which of our City fathers (mayor or councillors) would allow me to drive their vehicles over these two streets and then take the vehicle to whatever repair shop of their choosing?
Any offers will be gladly accepted via ebrandon notification on here to me.
Wonder if any City fathers will volunteer?
