Why is a vehicles at you're plant running on every fifteen minutes and then off for fifteen minutes, from nine at night until seven thirty in the morning, many days in the last several months. Across the street from you or side street behind you're building is a residential area with people trying to sleep at night. This will be my third night this week that I will not have a decent sleep thanks to the constant noise of you're idling vehicle. I have to carry a bag into a store because I no longer can buy a plastic bag when I buy groceries, but it's ok for you to poison and add to our climate problem nightly. Also noticed, never a truck running during daytime office hours.

Perhaps check your insulation and windows if outside noise is bothering you. Or even better buy a house in the country where it is more peaceful.

Hard to say exactly, have you asked them ?  
 
Maybe they aren't aware its affecting you so much and would remedy the situation ?  
 
My guess would be maybe the truck's block heater is broken and they're having hard time getting a replacement so they run it on and off so it doesn't freeze up at night ?

Chances are it is either a reefer or heater on a trailer. Temp. control so product doesn't freeze or thaw depending on circumstance

You wouldnt have to worry about brining bags to a syore if you did your own hunting and gathering  
 
If the trucks have to run to be able to deliver goods for people to purchase, I have no issues, esepcially since I dont hunt or gather my food and have to go to the store to buy it.

Are you maybe asking about the trailers? They are climate controlled by a small diesel engine to keep from freezing product.

Reefer or heated trailers have to maintain a specific temperature so the product doesn't freeze or sweat. I order for us to receive products that aren't damaged its how it works and it isnt anything new so perhaps you could put in ear plugs if its that bad. But as one other person said as well i would be checking your insulation around your windows and windows as they way youve described it and the distance from them to you it should not be that bad.

Is it that whenever someone has a complaint regarding noise at night there is always someone ready to jump on them? Move to the country? I' m sure you could do better than that if you actually gave it some thought.

It's not their problem, so it must be you that is the problem. If it doesn't directly effect them, you are the problem for complaining. It's the way of the world it seems.

Sounds like a real Pain in the A$$. sound travels.  
 
I would have printed a real nice note to put on the  
windshield the first time.  
The second time I would phone the office either local or the 1800 number and continue to phone.

Now I'm curious what they said or if its been resolved, nothing worse than getting drawn into it then not finding out the resolution lol

a one and done post. But would interesting if a solution was found.
