what is this bug?

these bugs squish easy and have a strong reddish colour when squished. they look like ticks but are not biting yet. and they are softer. but they are numerous, I have sprayed with insecticide, with soap and bleach and with water. they come back infesting next day and are nasty.
Any advice?
