Why do “major” grocery stores continually move their products around.  
Is just to make you search more or does someone get a dumb brainway!  
If you can’t find your usual supplies do you walk around for a while looking or are you like me and just forget about it

It’s a regular practice so that you either engage the staff, or go looking and find new products. It also adds to impulse buying.

Superstore by far is the worst offender followed closely but Walmart IMO, but I find Co op has been quite consistent for some time now. Nothing has changed since their renovations a few years back.

There are several reasons retailers rearrange products on shelves or change product locations within the outlet. None of these decisions are made to offend the consumer.

Having come from that background, I'm assuming it's because of who's paying for space changes over time. Eye level, under eye level, higher up . . . All fetch different rates. Not to mention locations in the aisle probably do the same thing. For example, near the front of an aisle (and particularly near the front of the store) would be real prime real estate.  
 
Retail is a beast of numbers and thin margins. Having switched to a department store I've come to understand that there are 2 seasons of the year . . . All things Summer (everything from lawn mowers to pools) and Christmas. With just a dash of Thanksgiving and Halloween in between.

store? I know the west end store is going under MAJOR renovations and are changing their layout. Is it them?

SS is the one that bothers me  
You just get to know where stuff is and zap it’s moved, waste a 1/2 hour trying to find or say &@&@

I must be getting old because I admit that Super can be a bit of a pain at times as well. I'de say less about items being replanned all the time and more that. . . the arrangement is sometimes odd. For example, finding normal branded canned tomatoes is almost always a chore. And there was a time when I thought they didn't sell Bear Paws . . . which they do, but their with crackers and cookies (if memory serves), NOT lunchtime snacks.  
 
Sobeys West was chaotic when it opened, but you get to know it more or less with each visit.

Businesses are really growing since last couple years and I am realizing that most of the store needs renovation
