I know there have been a few threads on this topic over the years, but I am looking for an updated one as some of the recommended contractors are no longer in business. I have a pretty small kitchen that needs new countertops. I’ve heard people say everything from Home Depot to Rona to Mcmunn&Yates to Contractors Corner. and a few others but not sure on any of them as there has been negative comments on all of them from too pricey, to shoddy workmanship. Personally, I would like to give my money to some hard-working, carpenter rather than big companies, but whoever can do the job for the most reasonable price gets my vote . Looking for recommendations and your experiences.

I bought my cabinets and countertops through McMunn and Yates. Tracy is awesome to deal with. Dewald, from DK Construction is doing the install. He's a very down to earth guy that actually listens to your expectations.

At McMunn and Yates is top notch.

So what would be a price range for a basic laminate countertop roughly 9 ft long and two 3 foot sections?

Are still going to be various different prices depending on a few factors. Best to call one of the recommendations given to you.
