Just have wedding showers. At least then you get thank you in person.
You might of course be invited to wedding with another gift needed.
Usually groom makes a speech and ones I have gone to he says thanks to specific people and general thank you to all.
Gift opening next day or after wedding thanks are given to the person. But no what you gave or how much isn’t a factor in who deserves a thank you.
If everyone put their cell number or email thanking would be easier.
As to manners they are important. I will say again wanting a thank you for a tip is wrong. The thank you from the cleaners is continuing doing a great job.
Example of great manners.
I was walking up to a door still about 20 feet away. 3 young men came out starting walking the other way. One came running back and opened the door for me. That is a gentleman.
