Trustfall said "Kids are no longer responsible for their actions - they are, but they don't think so. Our Youth Criminal Justice System is a joke. Slap them on the hand and send them back out. They have no fear of consequences and no respect for authority, posessions or even themselves. That's not the case with all, of course, but so many are headed down a rabbit hole that will be hard to get back out of. Even good parents are having a hard time fighting against society and peer pressure from their kids' friends. "
You and many others think this may be the result of a failed justice system, but I am here to tell you that you have been fed a pile of lies.
For years the price of housing, clothing, and food rise, and crime rises with it. How long can we keep moving down a path of retail stores raising prices and keeping salaries as low as they have been...this will only lead to one thing, crime!
My job has afforded me the opportunity to see first hand what happens when people are forced from their homes because of high rent, among other things.
How long did we think we can go on making food unaffordable for many families before a major retailer was hit with arson?
Let's be clear here, the Walmart shareholders will not feel this one bit, but the employees will, those making a minimum wage will suffer. And while the owners keep earning their profits, and the people who are starving, homeless and come from homes with addictions (because where else will they get a break from the world's problems that face them?) will be put in jail for this...and the cycle will continue as long as there is money to be made.
