I'm hoping curlysister comes and answers this for me lol.  
 
Is Dr. Tamayo still the only neurologist in town? What's his wait list like? And can I ask to be referred to Winnipeg? My kid with a history of epilepsy had a confirmed seizure today at home after months of speculating that they resumed, and I need her to see adult neuro asap (we were discharged from peds neuro a year or so ago). I'm just wondering what the waits were like before I call her PCP in the morning.

Yes, Dr. Tamayo is currently the only Neurologist is Brandon and his waitlist is very long. You can absolutely ask for a referral to a neurologist in WPG. Good luck

The wait for Dr Tamayo is 6 to 9 months at present, according to the voicemail at his office.  
Dr Stefan Pacin also comes to Brandon from Winnipeg part time, but I am not certain whether he sees seizure disorders (he does nerve conduction studies).

I saw Dr. Guranda at the gracecadult clinic in Winnipeg ( I had seen Dr. Tamayo years ago in Brandon)

We are seeing (adult daughter) Dr. Peedicall at the Seizure Clinic in Wpg at HSC. They probably have other neurologists. This is where I would get your referral if you are dealing with seizures.

Yes! You can ask to be referred to WPG  
The waiting list will be less  
 
Dr Tamayo is 6-9 months and he is half BRANDON half WPG
