tomatoes

Mine are mostly still green, but some are starting to turn. They ripen faster with heat, and with the coolness the past few days it has slowed it down I guess. As long as they are starting to turn (as in, not rock-hard dark green), you can pick them green and ripen them inside if it comes to that. I almost always have to do that, it take until the end of September usually for everyone to ripen. Just lay them in the single layer on newspapers and turn them every day or two. Those flat produce boxes that grocery stores throw out work well.
Also, green tomatoes are delicious! Fried green tomaotes and green tomato salsas are my favourite.
