The ticket was for doing 104, I know I was doing slightly over 100 when I got pulled over. It wasn't that I was going what I thought was 104 and was actually higher. As stated, ticket said 104 in a 90. This was coming down the 110 from Hwy 1, early one morning and road was very quiet, hence I was going faster than I should have been as I wasn't concentrating. In response to the OP I agree. Maybe Brandon should reduce all speed limits by 10km then people will be driving close to what the speed limits are now.

So everyone has the same thing to complain about.  
 
City driving is not highway driving.  
 
The two lanes are for everyone. Many turns people need to make and they have to be in the closest lane to turn.  
 
Reminder that school speed zones have started Monday to Friday September. Yes you have to drive 30 even if no school that day; even if stat. No exceptions. 30 now till next July.  
 
I hope they post how many get tickets for school zone speeding Monday and Tuesday. Perhaps a contest between Winnipeg and Brandon.

They are both handy to have . Problem solved for getting tickets and yes I’m well aware they can detect some detectors. That’s why they make stealth ones now . Just remember… accidents can happen at any speed and any road condition. Making a post about how others speed is pointless . Just worry about yourself.

Safely pass at 52 - that is over the speed limit - your speeding. And if you are speeding, it's not safe! Period. You know you've jinxed yourself about not getting a ticket yet. Such a big man you are! Grow up!

While I mostly agree with that Statement that I can only control my own driving and ability to avoid an accident, all other users of the roadway must do the same and respect each other and the rules of the road,  
 
The original poster was using this forum to "insist" that the left lane was a Passing Lane and everyone should get out of his way even if he choose to speed  
The Left lane over the bridge and northward, in the city is a Travel Lane and there is a speed limit .  
Your comment about not worrying about others drivers, and just your own driving is a good point,  
 
Also is the point that all drivers must share the road safely, and having idiot ones, tailgating because they think you are in the wrong lane, Speeding around cars dodging in and out of traffic, just because they think they are "privileged" to speed and disobey the traffic laws,Is why this discussion i:ncluded remarks about speed.  
I can, for the most part. do my share of safe driving, but to prevent accidents, all others must do the same.  
Speeding might get you to your destination a few minutes sooner, Or it might cause ME NOT to make my destination due to your erratic driving,  
Obey the laws for safety of all drivers,

No way cop is right.  
 
Speed radar is not thst accurate.  
 
Go to court over it. Cops rarely show up. Ask to see 30 days prior of accuracy tests.  
 
Chances are you weren’t speeding at all.

So 14 km/h over the limit. Also, radar is very very accurate. Tested with 2 tuning forks. It's the operators ability and certification of the radar that is held in question. Also, cops are not required to attend court on minor traffic offences. Their notes on the back of the ticket is their testimony.

Just get a jammer and detector. Problem solved . As stated before .. radar is very accurate if kept in tune. Before every shift they test it . Regardless anything above the posted speed limit is speeding . 2 lanes travel in the same direction in any city or town isn’t meant to have one lane dedicated as a slow lane . Applies to highways and even then anything about the posted speed limit is speeding anyways.
