Does anybody know how to properly open a milk carton you go to pick it up it collapses you try to open it up you can’t you end up having to open up both ends they’re made so cheap( what happened to something being made solid?)

You look at one of the ends and there should be arrows, basically just open it by pulling one side apart at the top.

The cartons have definitely changed. There was a period of time a couple of months ago that cartons weren't available, I believe that's when these changes happened. The pour spout tears when opening and the side walls of the carton collapse. Whether it was a change due to cost cutting or due to product availability, we have switched brands due to this.

Cartons very hard to open now, especially for elderly and disabled .

is like it used to be. A sign of us getting older. If the milk carton being hard to open, is the worst thing of the day, I would take that. LOL

About 10 years ago I bought a 1l juice jug from Canadian tire. I open the carton, you could cut it off. I then pour the milk into the jug. It is clean and you don’t need to worry if you cut the top of the carton off.

There are both 1l and 2l juice jugs.

I hope this helps someone.

most people have solved the carton issues by doing this. It works well. Simple solution.
