Has anyone received their Manitoba Security Rebate refund cheque yet? I applied the first day that it opened and haven't heard anything yet, or seen the refund come through.  
 
I heard online that all funding is now spent so I don't know what to do. My application was never rejected as far as I know. The whole process was embarrassing - the form couldn't accept multiple pictures or file formats, then days or weeks after the program opened they came up with a workaround where you had to send additional pictures by email with your confirmation # as your email subject, but this was buried in an FYI document that wasn't available when I first sent in my application. Wondering if I will be rejected if they didn't like the pictures that I sent?  
 
Not only that, but the system had to be purchased and installed before you can submit your application, and now if all the money is gone, and they never told me there was a problem with my images or application, it seems unfair.

I understand you struggles, often times the application process for funding can be very difficult and confusing.  
 
As far as the program though, the funding is gone, but that doesn't mean that all teh cheques or payments have been issued, just that the funding has all been spoken for.  
 
To the province's defense, they now have to review and process over 8,000 applications, all without hiring new staff.

my concern is that i've had zero contact from them throughout this process.  
 
let's say my claim ends up denied because my photo of the install doesn't show all 3 cameras installed (you can only attach one photo). at the time of applying, there was no instructions on how to send additional photos. so instead of contacting me to send the rest, they just deny my claim, and now it's too late to reapply as the funds are all spoken for.  
 
if they knew the program was going to accept 8,000 claims then they should have been more prepared. the application website was a joke (think google form) and then zero follow up for over a month afterward.

I agree that there has been no follow up or contact since submitting the application. I think that everyone is basically in the same situation. Submit the application with only one photo and hope that it is good enough. I never even heard about a way to submit any more photos!

They LATER issued an FAQ that said you can send a follow up email (referencing your confirmation # in the subject line) with additional photos. I just hope that if they want more info, they'll ask me to send more info instead of just denying my claim, but it sounds like they won't give people a chance they just deny it automatically.

It was a good idea, but very poorly executed. At this point it's basically a lottery, and not what I expect from a rebate program. I just feel lucky that it's still possible I might get my money back at this point.  
 
I now see why many things are a tax rebate. At this point, it's not like how they did things made it better/more accessible for low income families.

It would be a good idea to send a follow up email id you haven't already
