A trump presidency is estimated to cost Canada 30 billion a year. All the immigrants that Trump vows to kick out, will not happily go home, a substantial amount will move north. Even if we magically voted in a prime minister that completely stopped immigration(no one has this policy) migrants would still illegally cross the border to Canada as they will perceive it to be safer. So our cost of living is going to increase, business’s will have to pay more for parts- roughly 10-15%. This will increase home costs as well. Trump has an America first policy, he does not care about Canada or any other country. 77% of our trade goes to the USA. Even if a conservative government is voted in, they will not have the ability to prevent the tariffs that Trump has promised these American people. No matter who our prime minister is, Trumps presidency will cost the Canadian people money. You can be a conservative in Canada and still recognize that Trumps presidency will not benefit Canada. I’m assuming you’re a conservative, well, Poilievre has vowed to bring $450 billion back to Canada from the USA- I’m sure that would’ve been an easier task with Harris than Trump. Trump isn’t going to do Canada any favours. You can privately enjoy Trumps racist, sexist, homophobic rhetoric(which you must since you like him) and still understand he will cost us money. Not to mention he talks about women as if they are too oblivious to know what’s good for them, suggests he will fix everything for them, and has enabled states to remove their basic healthcare rights

So, your point is that he will do exactly what his job is?  
His job is to take care of the USA, not the rest of the world. He doesn't need to worry about where the immigrants go, as long as they are out of his country.  
Not to worry about how profitable foreign industry is as long as his people are thriving.  
Imagine if we had a government that put Canada First?  
What progress could have been made if just a small percentage of the foreign aid sent out of this country was invested in our homeless instead?

I never said his job was to take care of the rest of the world. I said a tariff on incoming product from Canada would not benefit us, and it won’t. You completely overlooked the actual message deliberately. Why should any Canadians be happy that our cost of living will increase, the cost to run businesses will increase, our immigration problem will increase and our population is already increasing to quickly which has resulted in home costs increasing and increased difficulty getting medical care and family drs. It doesn’t matter who is voted into our government, they cannot fix the cost that tariffs will create. Also, the tariffs being put in place won’t actually help Americans- it will increase the costs there as well, but that’s not our problem. I’m not even sure why you’d bring up the homeless, it’s not exactly a selling point for the conservative government and I’m assuming you’re saying they put Canada first. More people will be homeless as a result of costs increasing, so yeah. But I would rather put money into healthcare, mental health etc. than housing homeless people actually. Also, I should probably affirm that I didn’t mean Trump is putting the American people first, I meant he’s claiming that he is. He is actually putting in policies than benefit himself and his other wealthy affiliates. And he certainly isn’t putting American women first by inhibiting their ability to access basic healthcare.

which will create wealth, jobs & spinoff benefits  
for Canada. He has a record of making the U.S.  
economy grow which will also benefit our exports.

He didn’t grow their economy, Obama did and he continued Obamas plan so the economy continued at the same pace. I’m not influenced from paid off media, I’m educated and I continue to educate myself accordingly. Economists agree that his plan will be detrimental to the American economy and will also cost Canada billions of dollars. He also made it possible for women’s basic healthcare rights to be removed, and that is disgusting. He also conducts himself in a disgusting manner, and has zero respect for women or anyone else. His plan stands to benefit the super wealthy, and that’s why people like Elon Musk like him because it will benefit them economically.

I lived in the USA for 28 years and recently returned to Canada. While I lived there I was very proud of being a resident there, that is until Trump's first Presidency.  
I was completely embarrassed that he was running a country I love and I just can't believe he got in again. It's not even just about his politics but about him as a person,liar,cheat, racist and a disrespectful ass toward women and of course so many other things.  
 
I have a son in the USCG and a daughter in law from Puerto Rico.  
I am truly sorry for all Puerto Ricans.  
So now I worry about the military and how it will affect my Son.  
Trump will kill the USA and all relationships with NATO.  
I'm just so sad for all Americans even those who voted for this ass.

Ah yes the keystone XL pipeline which has been heavily opposed by many environmentalist groups will create more wealth, jobs, and spinoff benefits in the middle of an environmental catastrophe. What a blessed day.  
 
I am guessing you think the thousands of scientists from almost every country around the world who study and assert climate change is a significant threat is just a liberal conspiracy. Those guys all have an agenda. Surely those oil companies making hundreds of billions of dollars annually are telling the truth when they say we just aren't sure if carbon and methane emissions are driving climate change.  
 
We went from the 2000 election between Bush and Gore where environmental policies were a huge policy debate to now re-electing a president who says its going to get cooler and doesn't believe in climate change.

What is really scary is that he divided "illegals " parents from thier kids during his first administration. It was never put into full effect but still was done.  
 
Biden did try to reunite them to thier parents during his term so do have to give him credit.for that but there are still almost 1,000 kids that are not with thier parents because of this lost in the system.  
 
People have just forgotten about them and had thier eyes glazed over by new "promises" and it is going to happen again.  
 
The USA is important to Canada as is all neighboring countries to eachother. We are always directly effected by thier decisions. If they decide a necular war. The the missiles are right at our border. Tourism of US citizens coming into Canada, and vice vera online shopping (looking into smaller markets). They get the best of our lumber, gas refining, the list is endless. We are known as North America.
