What to do in Manitoba in January for Anniversary?

Our anniversary is coming up. I am wondering if there is anything recommended things to do in Manitoba in Winter or close to Manitoba?
We will have someone to take care of livestock if we go away for a day or two.
We’re a younger couple and not really “city folk”. Looking for recommendations off the beaten path!

What about staying at Clear Lake, going to the spa at Elkhorn resort, ice skating etc.

Or looking at an Airbnb somewhere and doing outdoor activities.

A few places have those outdoor camping domes that look cool

There is a place near Carberry Casino that rents cabins with hottubs, could go to the casino, spruce woods partk

Break up the winter. Direct flight from Winnipeg. Sunday 19th January to Sunday 26th of January around $600 return plus hotel. That sounds like a nice anniversary.

Would you say you enjoy outdoor winter stuff and you're looking for a home base to snowmobile/cross country ski/ice fish/etc.... or more looking for a place in a little bit of a different setting, maybe some view and a hot tub?

One I've seen that looks kind of fun and might meet what you're describing are Crooked Mountain Cabins. I think they book one of the four cabins for the winter. You'd want to check on how far in advance you'd need to book, but they look fun!

Another that gets quite a bit of buzz are Yurts. Don't know a lot about them or if there are many that rent them for winter, maybe someone else that knows more will chip in.
