Who do you get to unplug your blocked sewer? There is a well known service in Brandon that have been calling for a while to unplug our sewer. They offer a very poor warranty on their work! I won’t be calling them again, nor recommending them again to anyone else to unplug a drain. Ask about the firms warranty on that service before you hire someone, is my recommendation to you.

What kind of warranty on a blocked sewer are you expecting?  
 
Maybe spend the time/money to figure out why it keeps happening. Biggest causes are what you put down there.

Only regular stuff goes down our sewer. No trees on our property, and roots don’t grow that fast to block the sewer in two months either.

Or did they flood your home or something?

Looking for a firm that does a more thorough job of clearing the roots out of the sewer line so that it lasts longer between rooter jobs. Two-three months at this address is not acceptable. So the original question was “who do you use?”

is the trees not the sewer.

if you do not have trees, then you likely have a separated and/or settled line. you will need to get it scoped to know for sure. sewer lines can become disconnected and then one side can settle in the ground, not allowing waste to have a straight flow to the main city line. this is not the plumbers fault.

will be something to look into. I hope it doesn’t need to be dug up. Thanks for the advice.

There are good “albeit harsh and harmful” chemicals out there for those pesky tree roots “Show that tree some tough love!

In your replies, you say that you have no trees on your property, so where are the roots coming from? Roots are only an issue on the main line, outside of the footing, but you picture shows a service line between a floor and ceiling. You can see the joist and floor board at the top of the pic, and then a strapped ceiling in the bottom. In the back, there is a 1/2" copper water line, so it is obviously a warm zone. What specifically is plugged / backing up? Hard to offer suggestions when the details are inconsistent.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have i:ncluded that picture. The city has trees on their property, but we have none. Basically I was asking for recommendations on what firm to use to clear the sewer.
