From what I understand, if any sort of old collection is not in really good shape then there is likely not some high value attached to it (unless it a rarity). So many people collect things for years nowadays and they still don’t turn into high value items. My hockey cards for example.
You could play with the above and see what the very good quality 45s sell for.
There is an also younger crowd that likes vinyl. If you gifted them to someone who wants them at least they’d be appreciated.
