No snotty remarks  
you ask your partner why they want to be with you they reply because they LOVE you . That's to easy . If they can not come up with why they are with you what does it mean to you ? thoughts

if the question was asked of you, what would be your answer?  
I would say that we are comfortable and enjoy the company of our other half. We like to be together, working for our futures and that of any offspring. We trust our spouse/partner and care for each others health and wellbeing, doing what is necessary without repeated requests, sharing the chores including the muckier ones.  
There are no doubt some I have missed and each of us probably has slightly different reasons, but caring and being comfortable is probably near the top of the list, accepting each others faults as none of us are perfect.

Well it might not mean anything, it’s a very open ended question. It’s like asking what do you know? You know a lot and a little. Maybe they are comfortable and don’t have specific reasons. My partner asks why I love him and similar to above I say similar things

Someone saying they love another as reason for being with them should be a sufficient answer to the query, "Why are you with me?" If one is not happy with that answer, that should throw up a red flag for the person who gave that answer. Looks fade, money comes and goes, people change so they may not be as funny or as affectionate as they once were. But love is hard to find, and even harder these days to find someone to love. If someone is with you because they love you, that should be answer enough. To state "That's too easy" is belittling, and quite frankly a bit selfish, in my lowly opinion.

I am curious why you would ask that question. I am not sure I would ever ask my partner that unless I was concerned about my relationship.  
Saying because they love you is saying so many things. They are comfortable, safe, respected, loved, protected, and so many other things and they want to give you all of those feelings as well.
