Change your address or you will miss important correspondence like from bank and government cheques.  
 
So easy to change. Just make a list of all services and phone all of them or drop in to change. Send out a note to everyone in your address book as well unless you don’t want them to know where you live.  
 
Careful using the Canada Post forwarding offer as it doesn’t forward bank or government mail. Costs money too.  
 
Cheaper to do it yourself.  
 
All of us are tired of getting the wrong person mail.

I’ve been getting the same person’s mail for 12 years despite putting ‘return to sender – moved’ on various pieces of mail. Still doesn’t deter anyone.

My Mom passed just before Christmas. I have her mail forwarded here. I have had bank statements, government cheques, and even a government bill.  
 
But yes, people need to be responsible for changing their address.

If the worst thing happening to you is that you're receiving someone elses' mail, you're doing okay. Throw it out if you don't want it, or return it to sender. Nothing to really rant about though.

Just keep return to sender . There’s laws in place that make it an offence to destroy someone else’s mail.

Not all of us are tired of it haha. I found the person on Facebook and I just message him when I get any of his mail. If it’s obvious junk mail I just write return to sender on it and put it in the mailbox for the carrier or I drop it off at a mailbox when I go out. I just leave his mail in the mailbox and he comes and grabs it when convenient. It really isn’t a bother at all…funnily enough, I was telling friends how I feel bad bugging him when I get his mail LOL  
 
I had a few change of addresses recently and I know what it feels like missing mail or waiting longer to get it so I guess that’s why it doesn’t bother me? I did the mail forwarding a couple of times and it does add up. Some may not have the extra money right away, especially after a move?
