Honestly any unsolicited call from someone saying they’re from a business or corp could be a scam without more details. When a bank advisor called me a couple days ago for an appointment, I sent an email to their email address that’s at their legitimate corporate domain while we were starting the call and asked them to reply to the email just so I could verify it’s them before talking financials.
Stats Can most definitely does do phone surveys, but scammers most definitely will pretend to be anyone and everyone including who you’d least expect them to be. Totally reasonable to ask your caller how you can verify that they’re with who they say they are.
