Is there any person in Brandon that does homemade dainties/ baking for special events?

It is against Public Health legislation to sell 'home made' foods, including dainties, from home. The exception is at farmer's markets and bake sales - so I would look there to start.
There are also bakeries in Brandon who I would say their products are just as good as 'home made'!

There are a few places in Brandon that do their own baking, but the one that comes to mind is Lady of the Lake Cafe.
I have picked up their homemade Truffles, cookies, tarts, pies, cheesecakes and they even make dainties for high teas!
