So I noticed after eBrandonites started talking about gas prices at Petro Canada's their prices are now lower at 115.2 . So I have another topic. Not as urgent and does not effect everyone. I work in a very warm environment and summers at work can be uncomfortable. Today since work was closed up yesterday it was hot in there. So occasionally on my way home I splurge and treat myself to a Slurpee. The closest one to me is 10th st. I pay $3.00. Today I had some running around to do and was in the west end. So I picked up one on 34th st. Why for the same size same store brand are they $2.25 over there? She scanned the cup with the UPC scanner as the other store does.

If the business in question is a franchise, they usually have the ability to set their own prices. The business still has to enter information corresponding to the UPC into their system so scanning it will just reflect whatever price was entered to go along with that code.

There are a lot of franchise that do that. McDonalds in a bigger city like Toronto, depending on which part of town it is, have higher prices vs other areas.  
 
North Dakota fast food joints have different prices for their food vs the next one. Fargo Mcdonalds vs grand forks mcdonalds are different prices as well.
