Just curious what small towns have some of the good food joints to eat at?  
 
I really liked the chicken burger from the Dairy Bar in Souris and would like to check out some more small town food joints.

Burning Bale in Elgin is excellent, Minary Bakery in Souris isn't a restaurant but their products are some of the best I've had (donuts, fritters, cookies, bread etc)

Arlington Bar, family friendly, great food, reasonable price

Joe Dandy's in the town of Oak Lake has great burgers and ice cream. They serve a bison burger along with the usual chicken etc.

Boissevain Bakeshop. Not only do they have the regular baking like donuts, cookies, fritters, muffins, biscuits - including excellent sourdough bread. But Alex, the owner, recently brought in a smoker and has been doing things like ribs, brisket, etc for meals and sandwiches. Favorites do sell out, so if there is something specific you are after, be sure to go early. And there are coffees and teas.  
Oh, and he also has a section with frozen items like quiche, sausage rolls, etc. And I fridge with cheeses. Oh, and also a section with some specialty mustards and sauces too!  
And I also forgot that he carries Shelby Howard pottery too!

My wife and I will routinely make the short drive from Brandon up to Lee's Restaurant in Rivers. They have the best ginger chicken in Westman, and we have looked!

Lee's is very good and their weekend buffet is a good price. Food and service always great.

Lots of good suggestions so far and I do seem to be spending a lot of time in the Grassland Municipality area lately, so I've started a list of all the suggestions so far.
