First, the OP was being snarky to the mail carriers for always being on strike because of their "difficult job". From your statement, it sounds like you're comparing everyone outside of office workers has easy jobs.
Second, there are thousands of non-office jobs that don't require you to walk outside in very cold or very hot weather, or avoid angry dogs.
I've got no problem with mail carriers going street to street with their vans. It makes the work somewhat easier, where's the harm? Surely if something came up that made your work easier, you wouldn't say "Oh no, I'd like to work just as hard as I am now, thank you."?
