My husband was diagnosed with cancer in the lung, liver and omen Tyna. He has been radiation and chemo and now has been told that is it. They cannot do anything more for him. Has anyone received this news and tried other options? Gone out of province for other options!

First off I'm incredibly sorry that you and your husband are dealing with the beast that is cancer. It sounds like your husband has quite a bit of it in various spots. Sadly I think radiation and chemo are the only two options available. You could ask about surgery but I doubt that would be an option as it's in so many areas. Sadly holistic medication can do more harm than good in the cases of cancer so I'd avoid that. Thankfully our cancer doctors here in Manitoba are pretty great and know what they are doing and talking about. I've had family go through cancer treatment and for some it worked and others it didn't. It may also depend on the stage of his cancer.  
 
My question when you said "omen tyna" did you mean the omentum? I've never heard of a omen tyna before.

It is probably omentum as it is hard to read the writing.

That this is what your husband and you are dealing with. I am in remission from a rare and agressive breast cancer. It is such a blow to be dealt these cards. We do have wonderful cancer teams & cancer care here. A cancer diagnosis is so unique to each individual. The doctors go by numbers and statistics and their experience and that’s what they are trained to do but there is another aspect to cancer or any disease and that’s the will to live, the human spirit & the power of love & hope.  
I personally have no experience with going out of province so hopefully those that do will chime in here. It is a difficult balance of pursuing alternative medicines, conventional treatments and the quality of life plus it can cost huge amounts of money with no sure good outcome. I have wrestled with this at length myself as my cancer is agressive in coming back and in places where there is no cure … do I go for quality or quantity but not being able to enjoy the life I still would have. This is really the question. And it’s such an incredibly personal journey to the answer.  
My heart is with you … never give up hope … where there is breath there is life … my slogan is “I will live until I die” … sending you prayers and hugs as you navigate this path.

Sending you good thoughts of care and concern. I can sure understand why anyone would want to try every avenue before giving up. Please revisit this question with your husband’s Cancer Care team and family physician. It has been my experience that there are many charlatans and grifters out there who will try to convince you that they have the miracle cure. Unfortunately they will charge you a lot of money for no results. There are miracles, there is hope, and there is love. These things are real.

At a point you say enough is enough. Allow the person make the call. Quality of life is more important than quantity.  
 
Work on getting everything in place when it happens.  
 
Loss and Grief is hard. Don’t let people tell you some time line. Everyone is different.
