That's a different problem entirely

Sending out resumes rarely results in a job now days. It's all who you know. Most resumes are submitted online, and it has to go through AI and they're never seen by humans.
Years ago, you could walk into a place and hand in a resume, and as long as you gave a good impression, you got at least an interview. I got quite a few jobs that way.
The last few job offers I've had have been strictly because I know someone, either the hiring person or someone recommended/vouched for me. I was thinking of changing jobs last year and submitted nearly 100 resumes and got precisely one interview out of it.
My field is reasonably in demand, and I have the skill sets requested in the job postings. It's also pretty rare that I don't get a job offer if I make it to the interview stage.
One of the things that is often neglected in going to post-secondary is the contacts you'll make, especially if there is a work experience/apprentice aspect to it. Those contacts will be the difference between you finding a job or not.
